Hi i'm a newbie to Apple products, I installed MAMP on my Mac and now have no idea where the default folder where all the html files are put go to. Also new to web development.

I made a website and can access it on my computer on localhost , see it by using command prompt and typing in ipconfig. to access localhost from another computer which is connected to the same network that your computer is connected to, all you have to do is allow the traffic for the port that your web server is listening on. To allow traffic for this port you just have to create an Inbound rule in windows firewall settings.

How to access localhost by IP address?, While the machine serving MAMP didn't have a firewall, the Windows file and the database. localhost needed to be updated to reflect my IP address. In order to access the MAMP on a network, you suppose to Allow the port in Windows Firewall to allow all connections. Cancel and add another image. To access your localhost on another Mac on your LAN, you need to type in it’s Local Hostname. To find out the Local Hostname of this Mac, go to System Preferences > Sharing > Edit. Now you can access your hosts from a different Mac on your LAN. Input :8888 as a suffix in your url bar to see the localhost.
